Lightning strikes on the horizon of fields where wind turbines are located.

Lightning monitoring

Wind turbines in view

Yesterday afternoon and into the night, some heavy thunderstorms moved across Germany. The density of the thunderstorm cells and the intensity were unusually high in some cases. At RECASE, we deal with fault patterns in wind turbines on a daily basis.

Did your turbines located in this area come through the storm unscathed?

In cooperation with the measurement network provider METEORAGE, RECASE offers monitoring and analysis of lightning events and an assessment of the effects on your wind turbine. Retrospective analyses are also possible.

Take a closer look at the evaluation of 13.08.2024 provided by METEORAGE.

If you have any questions, you can contact the RECASE wind energy experts at blitz@recase.de or Marco Hansen on LinkedIn.

Here you can find our joint press release (May 2024).

An analysis by Meteorage shows via a map of Germany that there was a very high level of lightning activity in western and southern Germany on August 13, 2024.
