Research on floating wind turbine
RECASE has been supporting the University of Montpellier in France since June 2024 with the aim of re-commissioning the Nezzy² (Nezzy Square) floating wind turbine.
Maurice Graber is contributing his specific expertise in control concepts to enable those responsible on site to understand the functionality of the software for controlling the turbine and to be able to control the turbine themselves in future.
Nezzy² was provided by EnBW for research purposes. The system was stored for around 4 years and is now being rebuilt. The plant is a 1:10 scale model.
The 1:1 version was recently realized in Guangzhou, China.
